Our Association is committed to supporting quality practices in Family Day Care and has developed this Diary as a practical business tool to assist with recording, programming, and planning. The Diary is designed to be flexible, allowing you to choose what information you record, when you record it, and how it is presented to reflect your individual service and style of practice.
With weekly recording pages and additional blank pages, you can tailor the Diary to meet your needs and document evidence of quality practices in a way that works best for you. There is no single correct way to use the Diary—its flexibility allows each educator to demonstrate their work and achievements in a meaningful and personalised manner.
We have included a range of suggested formats and ideas for consideration. Some educators prefer detailed documentation, while others adopt a more streamlined approach. Both approaches can effectively support quality practice and meet professional requirements.
As part of the National Quality Standard (NQS), educators are required to document their educational program and planning. Many educators have found the Diary to be a valuable resource for maintaining records and preparing for assessment and rating processes.
